Maria joined Trifermed in 2008 directly after finishing a B.Sc. in Biotechnology (Autonomous University of Barcelona). Working at Trifermed has enabled Maria to grow both personally and professionally. At first, she was responsible for Market Research; she had to conduct and manage the interface between Trifermed, our clients and also scout out the best business opportunities in the market. Today, she is a Business Unit Manager and is responsible for the Mediterranean markets: Italy, Greece, Turkey and Israel among others. To be in close contact with her clients she is learning Italian and she will hopefully soon start with Greek, Turkish and potentially even Hebrew. A real challenge! She enjoys building relationships with people as this is always an opportunity to learn more with regards to pharmaceuticals as well as cultural differences. Maria is passionate about photography. In her free time, she enjoys making the most of her Mediterranean surroundings by taking photos and gazing at the sea on a sunny summer day or on a captivating autumn evening.
